THE EXPERIENCE

One product, two ways to explore.

01

BROWSER-BASED

Apricot Virtual

Registered learners enter a temporary, isolated firewall environment and complete guided tasks without touching a real network.

  • Dedicated training session
  • Simulated WAN and protected LAN
  • Firewall, DNS and VPN exercises
  • Automatic shutdown and reset

PHYSICAL PILOT

Apricot Appliance

The first prototype will use an x86 OptiPlex 5050 with an Intel Core i5 and 8 GB RAM. Final performance depends on the selected multi-port network card and test configuration.

  • OPNsense-based evaluation build
  • Local administration and configuration backup
  • Policy, VPN and traffic-visibility testing
  • Feedback-led development

SAFE BY DESIGN

The public site never touches your real firewall.

Early sessions remain manually approved. The virtual lab will sit on an isolated network with no route to the NAS, Proxmox management, home network or physical Apricot prototype.

BUILD ROADMAP

Evidence before promises.

  1. Website & waitlistPublish the concept and collect interested testers.
  2. Bench prototypeAdd a supported multi-port NIC and configure the OptiPlex.
  3. Virtual labCreate isolated, disposable OPNsense sessions for approved accounts.
  4. Five-user pilotMeasure usability, throughput, recovery and update reliability.
  5. Compact x86 unitSelect production-candidate hardware only after results are documented.

APRICOT EARLY ACCESS
